Characteristics of Diamond-like Carbon Capacitors

  •  Packaged wound DLC Capacitors were manufactured successfully by rolling a pair of 0.5 µm DLC on double metallized polymer films with 100 % yield with and without silicon oil impregnation.
  • Packaged Wound DLC Capacitors with and without silicon oil impregnation passed the thermal cycling from -65 0C to +125 0C for 100 cycles at 100 Hz, 1 KHz, 10 KHz and 100 KHz (per MIL - STD -202, Method 107).  
  • Packaged Wound DLC Capacitors with and without oil impregnation passed the thermal aging test at 105 0C and 50 V for 500 hours at 100 Hz, 1 KHz, 10 KHz and 100 KHz (per MIL - STD -202, Method 108).
